I am a PhD candidate at the University of Bristol examining representations of British identity in media reporting on conflict. I examine the way identities are sculpted around external threats, paying special attention to gendered-Orientalist tropes.

Member of the SPAIS Gender Research Centre, the Global Insecurities Centre and the Bristol Festival of Ideas advisory board.

Perpetual organiser of gender-related events.
